Badrinath: Abode of Lord Vishnu in the Himalayas

Badrinath Temple is one of the most sacred shrines dedicated to Lord Vishnu, believed to have been established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century after discovering the idol of the deity in the holy Alaknanda River. According to Hindu tradition, Lord Vishnu meditated here for thousands of years, with Goddess Lakshmi protecting him in the form of the Badri tree. Today, Badrinath remains an important part of the sacred Char Dham Yatra and draws thousands of devotees each year seeking divine blessings and spiritual peace in the Himalayas.
